REGULAR MEETING WATER TREATMENT PLANT AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT CHANGE ORDER AND FINAL CHANGE ORDER REVIEW COMMITTEE, CITY OF PARIS July 13, 1987 The Water Treatment Plant and Wastewater Treatment Plant Change Order and Final Change Order Review Committee met in Special session, Monday, July 13, 1987, 10:00 A.M. Council chamber, City Hall. Chairman Bone called the meeting to order with the following members present: Eric Clifford, and Curtis Fendley. Also present were City Manager, Michael E. Malone, City Attorney T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham. Chairman Bone called for discussion on Change Order No. 2 to contract with Four Thirteen, Inc., for the 1985 Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements. John Buss, Consultant Engineer, appeared before the Committee giving background of the Contract with Four Thirteen, Inc. Mr. Buss stated that the contract will be complete upon accepting the pending 6 items as follows: 1. Install Seal Water System for Grit Pump 2. Modify Piping from grit concentrator to screen 3. Install safety railing and grating over pista grit 4. Install auto - restart on effluent pumps 5. Install air conditioner in MCC room Total Change Order No. 2 $2,800.00 $2,700.00 $3,150.00 $1,700.00 $3,100.00 $13,450.00 Mr. Buss stated that the City's share of the $13,450.00 would be $4,775.00 and Anheuser Busch portion would be $8,675.00. Discussion was had regarding the acceptance of the change order by Anheuser Busch with the Committee. Mr. Buss told the Council that Jim Martin who has been working with the City on site agrees that the change order is necessary. City Attorney advised that Committee that it may take approximately six week to get an answer from Anheuser Busch, and that we do not want to send them something that we have not approved. After further discussion, the Committee agreed to recommend to the Council that Change Order No. 2 to the Contract with Four Thirteen, Inc. be accepted. Chairman Bone announced that the next item on the Agenda was discussion of Change Order No. 10 to Additions to Water Treatment Plant.
