Item No. 5 - Delinquent Tax and Other Collections, paragraph 1 was <br />discussed, and the Committee agreed that the Lamar County Appraisal <br />District's wording would be recommended to the Council. Paragraph 5.2 <br />has been taken care of with the City contracting with legal council, <br />but would stay with the Lamar County Appraisal District's paragraph. <br />Mr. Anderson told the Committee that item 5.4, 5.5, and 5.6 could be <br />omitted. <br />Item No. 6 - Refunds - Mayor Clifford advised the Committee would <br />recommend to go with the Appraisal District's paragraph. <br />Item No. 7 - Payments it was agreed that the City's first payment would <br />be October First, and quarterly thereafter. <br />Mr. Anderson requested discussion on Item No. 12- Notices, regarding <br />registered mail, and after discussion, it was the recommendation of the <br />Committee to change the wording to read any termination or modification <br />of the contract would be by registered mail or hand delivered. <br />At this time the Committee went back to item No. 3.1 and the consensus <br />was to eliminate the collection of Street Assessments and Lot Mowing <br />Liens from the contract with the City of Paris making provisions to <br />collect the Street Assessments and Lot Mowing Liens. <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned. <br />ERIC S.
