MINUTES OF THE L.C.W.S.D COMMITTEE <br />May 26, 1987 <br />The Committee appointed to study the Lamar County Water Supply <br />District request to connect to the City of Paris' 33" water <br />transmission main in the area of Campbell Soup met May 26, 1987, 4:00 <br />P. M., Conference Room, City Hall. Chairman Clifford call the <br />meeting to order with the following members present: Councilman <br />Bone, and Councilman Kent. Also present was City Manager, Michael E. <br />Malone, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, Director of Finance, W. E. <br />Anderson, Interim City Engineer, Richard Babb, and City Clerk, Mattie <br />Cunningham. <br />City Attorney Haynes reviewed letters, memos, and the contract with <br />the Lamar County Water Supply District with the Committee. <br />City Manager Malone advised the Committee that the Lamar County Water <br />Supply District would give the City of Paris the water line, if <br />allowed to construct it and connect to the City's 33" transmission <br />line, from the Campbell Soup area to 19th N. W. which is their first <br />proposal. The Lamar County Water Supply District's second alternate <br />would to tie onto the City of Paris transmission main immediately <br />adjacent to the water treatment plant, and carry water around the <br />City, terminating at the City of Reno. <br />After further discussion Chairman Clifford recommended that the <br />Committee meet with Mr. Alton Dockery, Manager of the Lamar County <br />Water Supply District Wednesday, June 3, 1987 at 4:00 P.
