don't know if they are feasible. In other words, they may be so costly that there
are other alternatives for Irving to obtain the water. And one of the things I
would like to see, if we have money left in the process, is a cost analysis of
these documents. How many pennies per thousand will it cost? I would just say, we
don't know at this point. We talked to HDR about that, and they don't know at
this point what their final billing is going to be just yet, so we don't know
exactly how much money they've got left. They indicated to us that it would
probably be very costly to analyze all these alternatives that are in here, but
we can agree in that meeting that we would finish up the part of the work that we
have here and then look at the budget and determine how far we can go."
Dan Smith: "I think the less accuracy we require, the less cost it would be."
Reeves Hayter: "True, depending upon the level of effort that we would ask them
to put in."
Reeves Hayter: "All right, then I believe what I hear is that between now and our
next meeting, which will be on Feb. 5, we will receive the report from HDR and
the report from the Economic Development Corporation, and we will discuss those
items on Feb. 5. We will also try to arrange a presentation from the Parks and
Wildlife Department, and I believe that's it."
Charles Richards: "Y'all probably talked about this, but I don't recall. Are
y'all going to make a recommendation to the city council on whether we do it or
not or just give them a report on what you have found ?"
Reeves Hayter: "I believe our original scope says we're going to make a
recommendation."
Dan Smith: "I think that should be what we would do."
Reeves Hayter: "We discussed that, viewing our scope as being that, and in the
first presentation I made to the city council, I told them that that was an issue
with the committee, and they said back to us that our scope should be to make
them a recommendation. That was part of our charge, so that's what we're going to
try to do."
Sharron Nabors (To Charles Richards): "Can your tape be our minutes for today's
meeting ?"
Shawn Napier: "I guess that's up to Charles, if he's going to type it up verbatim
like he did last time."
Charles Richards: "It's a short meeting. I could probably do that."
Reeves Hayter: "If you don't mind. We appreciate that very much."
Shawn: "Just to recap. Our next meeting will be the fifth, but as far as when
they start getting these reports in, I will e-mail those out to everybody and
hand delivers them to the others (those not on emails). If we can't get those,
what I'll try to do is email them as they come, as well as the PDF documents,
