February 28, 1984 <br />ADVISORY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING <br />MINUTES <br />The Advisory Board of Health met at the Paris -Lamar County Health Unit on <br />Tuesday, February 2�, 1994, at 7:00 P.M. The following members were present: <br />Mrs. Ann Norment, Chairman, Dr. Richard Bercher, Dr. Rick Casey, Dr. Bill <br />George, and Mr. Hack Blankenship. Members not present were Dr. Wallace Kraft, <br />and Mrs. Frances Ellis, whose absence was excused because of another comm- <br />ittment. Dr. Hillhouse received a letter of resignation from Dr. McMillan. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Mrs. Norment. The first <br />business to be discussed was the election of a chairman. Dr. Bercher <br />made the motion that Mrs. Norment continue to be Chairman, Dr. George <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. Mrs. Norment agreed to this for <br />one more year. Mrs. Norment suggested the Board elect a Vice Chairman, and <br />Dr. Bercher asked Hack Blankenship if he would accept this position. Mr. <br />Blankenship agreed. <br />Dr. Bercher and Hack Blankenship were asked to give a report on their <br />meeting with the City Manager,David Doty, Judge Brady Fisher, and Harold <br />Greene on the budget. They had already discussed this with Dr. Hillhouse, <br />and Mrs. Norment, and there was no action taken on this. <br />Mr. Pursifull gave a report on plans made for part -time help for Mosquito <br />Control with The Job Training Partnership Act. He reported that if this <br />program supplied us with adults, we would have to hire them permanently. <br />If they provided us with students, we could start taking applications in <br />April and on thru May, and they could start work the first of June and <br />
