Page 2 Minutes <br />Dr. Kraft made a motion all of this be done. Reverend Evans seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried. Dr. Hillhouse explained that the State would be <br />sending $22,944.00 for this position, and that while it would not all be <br />going to Mr. Bethel's salary, the remainder would be applied to the <br />Sanitation Department. <br />Dr. Hillhouse brought up the fact that the City and County were taking <br />money from the Health Unit whenthey considered the bank balance to be <br />excessive. He said the State should know about this, so they could de- <br />termine what they should do about their contributions to the Health <br />Department. <br />Members of the Board asked that Betty-Kennedy check into the possibility <br />of getting burglary insurance coverage for the Health Unit, and to also <br />check into some burglar alarms. Dr. Kraft made the motion that we do <br />this. Dr. Casey seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Hack Blankenship read the three bids on floor covering which had been <br />received from: Deaton, Triple A, and Smith Carpets. The Board decided <br />that before they accepted one of these bids, Betty Kennedy would check <br />with the Lumber Companies and get bids from them.-.They also -recommended <br />that we get cut pile carpet and not -coninuous filament. As soon as we <br />get these bids, Betty is to send them to the Board Members and then let 1 <br />them call the Health Department to give us their opinion. Also we should <br />find out what the footage is for tile, carpet and plywood and to send--more- <br />colors to choose from. <br />Dr. Hillhouse asked the Board to approve his buying a Hyfrecator to treat <br />mild cervicitis on Family Planning Patients. Dr. Kraft made the motion <br />that Board accept this. Dr. George seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />The Board decided to take up the subject of Dr. Hillhouse's salary -at the <br />next Board Meeting. <br />
