June, 1985
ADVISORY BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING
MINUTES
The Advisory Board of Health met at the Paris -Lamar County Health Unit on
Tuesday, June 25, 1985. The meeting was called to order at approximately
7:20 P.M. by Mr. Hack Blankenship, chairman. The following members were
present: Mr. Blankenship, Dr. Rick Casey, Mrs. Ann Norment, and Mrs.
Frances Ellis. Also present were: Dr. Hillhouse and Anthony Bethel, rep-
resenting the Health Department.
The meeting was held to discuss the budget which had been returned to the
Health Dept. by the City Manager. There was a discussion concerning the
salaries, which had been changed by the City. Dr. Hillhouse explained why
these changes could not be accepted.
Mrs. Ellis made the motion that we write a letter to Mr. Doty accepting the
revised budget, presented by him, except for changes in the salary schedule,
with an explanation for each of these items. Mrs. Norment seconded the motion.
Motion carried.
There was a discussion about using $1,500.00 for repair of mosquito trucks
and $500.00 for their upkeep, out of the surplus of this year's budget and
to request this amount be added in the next budget. No action was taken on
this matter.
There was an informal discussion, for which there could be not action,
concerning a request by Judge Fisher about spraying in the County. It
was decided that this be discussed further with the Judge.
Respectfully Submitte
Bet Kennedy, cretary
