Lamar County Rural Health Clinic Board <br />Minutes of Meeting <br />The Rural Health Clinic Board held a meeting January 19, <br />1994 at 7:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital in the Azalea <br />Room. Those in attendance included Dr. Moseley, Troy <br />Owens, Evelyn Freeman, Julie Maddox, Mike Norby, Ann <br />Norment, T.K. Haynes and Mike Malone. Others in <br />attendance included Jae Dickinson and Dr. Beachley. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:15 a.m. The previous <br />minutes were read and approved. <br />Discussion was held regarding the interviews for Nurse <br />Practitioner. Julie Maddox told the Board that Kendra <br />Proctor has been hired by St. Joseph's. Julie thinks <br />Kenneth Korn's education should be checked further and if <br />everything checks out fine then offer him the job. <br />Everyone agreed. <br />Mike Norby told those present that the RHC will be an <br />"Independent" RHC instead of a" Provider Based" RHC. <br />Julie has a chart that shows the difference between the <br />two. <br />Discussed definition of responsibilities for timing of: <br />a. Coordination of NP interviews /hiring. If Kenneth <br />Korn is not hired, Julie and Evelyn will continue to <br />look for other applicants. <br />b, c, d. Job descriptions, Policies and procedures and <br />Clinical Protocols will fall to the NP. This will <br />take place 60 - 90 days after hiring NP. Nurse <br />Practitioner's job description should be posted <br />before hiring. <br />e. Coordination of other position interviews will fall <br />to the NP from a clinical stand point and Anthony <br />Bethel from all others. <br />f. Application process for other positions will be put <br />on hold until the NP is hired. <br />g. Budget development will be handled by Gene Anderson <br />and Mike Norby. <br />h. Equipment /supply purchases will be handled by the NP <br />and Julie, then will be given to Anthony Bethel. <br />
