M I N U T E S OF M E E T I N G <br />The Paris -Lamar County Board of Health held its monthly <br />meeting on Wednesday, January 25th, at the Holiday Inn. <br />Board members present included Dr. Bert Strom, Dr. Robert <br />Moseley, Rev. Samuel Evans, and Mrs. Frances Ellis. <br />Others present included T.K. Haynes, Gene Anderson, <br />Latricia Miller, Anthony Bethel, Bob Ricks, Danise <br />Petticrew, Betsy Chapman, Evelyn Freeman, and Dr. Bill <br />Woodruff. <br />A quorum was established and the meeting was called to <br />order at 7:15 am. Dr. Strom made a motion that was <br />seconded by Rev. Evans that the minutes be approved. The <br />motion carried. <br />Under discussion of the Rural Health Clinic, Dr. Woodruff <br />requested that he be sent a roster of Health Department <br />employees with job descriptions for each employee, and <br />would like to see a flow chart as to what employee does <br />what. Danise Petticrew stated that the Rural Health <br />Clinic was not certified as of yet, and that she needed a <br />3rd clerk up front. Evelyn Freeman reported that she was <br />notified of receipt of a COPC grant in the amount of <br />$120,000 to cover February through August, 1995, and <br />stated that the grant would be re- applied for in 1996. <br />Dr. Strom made a motion that was seconded by Mrs. Ellis <br />that the Board be advised within 7 working days the status <br />of obtaining the 3rd clerk, and the status of <br />certification for the Rural Health Clinic. The motion <br />carried. Anthony stated the reason that the Health <br />Department has not received a worker from TDH for medicaid <br />screening was that the building will not meet ADA <br />requirements. <br />Anthony passed out monthly reports. <br />The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, February <br />15th, at 7:00 am at the Holiday Inn. <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:25 am. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Bob Ricks <br />
