PARIS-LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br />MINUTES OF MEETING <br />The Paris-Lamar County Board of Health held its regular <br />meeting Wednesday, March 20th, 1996, at McCuistion <br />Regional Medical Center. Board members present included <br />Dr. Charles Tarvin, Dr. Robert Moseley, Dr. Bert Strom, <br />Dr. David Brock, Dr. Wally Kraft, Mrs. Ann Norment, and <br />Mrs. Francis Ellis. Others in attendance included Mr. <br />Mike Malone, Mr. T.K. Haynes, Mr. Troy Owens, Mr. Alan <br />Weatherford, Mrs. Latricia Miller, Mr. Anthony Bethel, Mr. <br />Bob Ricks, Mrs. Barbra Francis, Mr. Derald Bulls, and Ms. <br />Susan Walliser. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:18 am. Dr. Strom <br />made a motion that was seconded by Dr. Kraft that the <br />minutes from the previous meeting be approved. The motion <br />carried. <br />Under discussion of the position of Medical Director for <br />the Health Department, Mrs. Norment made a motion that was <br />seconded by Mrs. Ellis that Dr. Woodruff be replaced by <br />Dr. Jon Plummer. The motion was approved. T.K. Haynes <br />presented the contract which was for the period of 4-1-96 <br />until 9-30-97, and stated at the end of this contract, it <br />would revert to a yearly contract. <br />Under discussion of remodeling the front counter area, <br />Anthony Bethel advised that Larry Jordan of the Probation <br />Department had not been by yet to look at the project. <br />Bob Ricks advised that he had been looking in to Federal <br />and State grants, and also looking in to the possibility <br />of receiving donations from benevolent foundations in <br />Texas. Dr. Kraft stated that the would contact <br />Congressman Jim Chapman and set up an appointment to <br />discuss funding for a building. <br />Anthony Bethel passed out monthly reports. <br />The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, May 22nd, at <br />St. Joseph's Hospital at 7:00 am.
