MINUTES O F M I NUT E S <br />PARIS -LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br />The Paris -Lamar County Board of Health held its regular <br />meeting on Wednesday, May 17, 1995 at the Holiday Inn in <br />Paris. Board members in attendance included Dr. David <br />Brock, Dr. Bert Strom, Rev. Samuel Evans, Mrs. Ann <br />Norment, and Mrs. Frances Ellis. Others in attendance <br />included Mike Malone, Gene Anderson, Judge Deane <br />Loughmiller, Troy Owens, Latricia Miller, Anthony Bethel, <br />Bob Ricks, Mike Norby, Danise Petticrew, and Evelyn <br />Freeman. <br />A quorum was established, and the meeting was called to <br />order at 7:15 am. the minutes of the previous meeting were <br />approved. <br />Under discussion of Intermediate Care Position, Danise <br />informed the Board that she has given her notice of <br />resignation to St. Joseph's effective either June 9, or <br />June 24, depending on which job she accepted in Honey <br />Grove, Texas. Anthony informed the Board that the Health <br />Department has received certification as a Rural Health <br />Clinic and was waiting on numbers. Also, Anthony informed <br />the Board that the Health Department has received EPSDT <br />numbers and are seeing EPSDT patients. <br />Anthony discussed filling the primary care position with a <br />P.A. or F.N.P., and Dr. Strom stated he felt that a P.A. <br />would require more supervision by a physician than a <br />F.N.P.. <br />Anthony discussed Dr. Woodruff not coming to the Health <br />Department as often as needed, and Dr. Strom advised he <br />would contact Dr. Woodruff and get back with Anthony. <br />Dr. Strom requested that a productivity report be <br />presented the Board at the next meeting to see if patient <br />load has increased. <br />Dr. Strom recommended we look for two intermediate care <br />providers instead of one and also look into the "Grow Your <br />Own" program. <br />The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, June 21, <br />1995, at the Holiday Inn.
