(Paris- -Lamar County Yfealth oisttkt <br />400 West Sherman Street <br />Paris, Texas 75460 E <br />Voice: 903 - 785 -4561 ? <br />www.parislamorhealth.com <br />Minutes of SPECIAL Meeting <br />Paris - Lamar County Board of Health <br />The Paris - Lamar County Board of Health held a SPECIAL meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, <br />2014. <br />In attendance were Dr. Rick Erickson, Dr. Keith House, Mrs. Kristi Head, Dr. William George, Dr. Mark <br />Gibbons and Mr. William Collins. Dr. Singh has resigned as a board member. Others in attendance were <br />Mrs. Gina Prestridge, Ms. Cheryl Johnson, and Mrs. Elishia Brothers. <br />Dr. Erickson called the meeting to order in open session at 5:32 p.m. <br />No minutes were presented for approval. <br />Dr. Erickson presented the revision to the policies and procedures manual for Section 14.15 — Retiree <br />Health Insurance. <br />Old - <br />ECTION 14.15 — Retiree Health Insurance <br />Health insurance is available to all retirees, however current employees who retire on or <br />after October 1, 2004 will have to meet a Rule of 80 in order for the PLCHD to share in any <br />of the cost of health insurance. This means that the number of cumulative years of service <br />with the PLCHD plus the employee's age must equal 80 before the PLCHD will share in the <br />cost of the retiree's insurance premium. Health insurance coverage ends when the retiree <br />becomes age 65 or in certain circumstances, when the retiree becomes eligible for <br />Medicare /Medicaid. <br />Employees who are hired on or after October 1, 2004 will have access to the PLCHD Group <br />Health Insurance Plan upon retirement; however, the employee will be responsible for the <br />full cost of their health insurance premium. Health insurance coverage ends when the <br />retiree becomes age 65 or in certain circumstances, when the retiree becomes eligible for <br />Medicare /Medicaid. <br />
