sprayed for years and since Anthony Bethel was a registered sanitarian that he could hire workers at a <br />cheaper rate to spray the chemicals under his license, however since his retirement the Paris -Lamar <br />County Health District has to hire someone and get them a vector control license and it is expensive. <br />Mrs. Prestridge contacted John Godwin to see if he would be willing to take on this expense for the next <br />fiscal year. The City of Paris has workers that are already certified to spray the chemicals at no extra <br />expense for the City of Paris; however the Paris -Lamar County Health District will have to pay to train <br />every new employee. Mr. Godwin has not replied with an answer. Mrs. Prestridge presented the FY15 <br />budget including a 3% cost of living stipend and with a shortfall of approximately $74,000.00 for both the <br />City and County. The City and the County each should give the Paris -Lamar County Health District <br />$75,000.00 upfront by the middle of October and then for the following two years. Mr. Collins made the <br />motion and was seconded by Dr. Erickson to approve the budget including the cost of living stipend. All <br />approved. <br />Mrs. Prestridge presented the June monthly report that WIC served 1583 client inside the building and <br />90 at the drive -thru. The Paris -Lamar County Health District served 384 clinical clients, 42 restaurant <br />inspections, 11 septic systems installed, 2 septic complaints in the county, and 2 cases of possible rabies. <br />Dr. House made the motion to nominate Dr. Gibbons as Chairman and Mr. Collins seconded the motion. <br />All approved. Dr. George nominated Mr. Collins as Vice - Chairman and Dr. Gibbons seconded the motion. <br />All approved. Dr. Gibbons nominated Dr. Wyche as Secretary and Mr. Collins seconded the motion. All <br />approved. <br />The next meeting will be on the 191h of August, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at the Paris - Lamar County Health <br />District. <br />Dr. Gibbons made the motion and was seconded by Dr. House for the meeting to be adjourned at 6:27 <br />p.m. <br />Respectfully submitted by: <br />Cheryl D.
