MINUTES OF MEETING <br />PARIS -LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br />The Paris -Lamar County Board of Health held its regular meeting on Wednesday, April <br />18, 2001; at Christus St. Joseph's Hospital. Board members in attendance included Dr. <br />Robert Moseley, Dr. Ed Clark, Dr. Caroline Wilson, Dr. Wally Kraft, Mrs. Ann Norment, <br />and Mrs. Frances Ellis. Others in attendance included Mr. Mike Malone, Mr. Anthony <br />Bethel, Mr. Paul Swasko, Mr. Bob Ricks, Mrs. LaDonna Koehn, and Mrs. Carla Rhodes. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:10. Minutes of the previous meeting were not <br />approved due to no quorum. <br />Under discussion of rabies in Lamar County, Mr. Bethel informed the Board that we had <br />two positive rabies results from the Blossom area in the last few weeks. Dr. Kraft <br />informed the Board that there was a vaccination clinic in Blossom the previous weekend, <br />and another one was scheduled for the next weekend. The project in South Texas to <br />immunize coyotes is still going on. <br />Under discussion of the ICES server, Mr. Bethel explained the problem with the server to <br />the Board. The City MIS person tried to repair the system, but was unable to get the <br />system up again. The server had been taken to the regional office in Tyler where Bernie <br />Monsalvo would try to repair the server and get it up and running again. Dr. Clark <br />informed the Board of ImmTrac software and what it allows users to do. <br />Under monthly reports, Mr. Bethel informed the Board that he is ready to bill the state for <br />approximately $140,000 in fees for WIC and the Health Department, and then passed out <br />monthly fmancial statements and went over the statements. Mr. Bethel also informed the <br />Board that the State is going to do an audit on Primary Care, WIC, and Core Public <br />Health Functions (000 funds). Dr. Clark requested that a QA report be presented to the <br />Board at the next meeting. <br />The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at McCuistion Regional <br />Medical Center. <br />/Respectfully S bmitted, <br />U2 <br />Bob Ricks <br />
