MINUTES OF MEETING
PARIS -LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH
The Paris -Lamar County Board of Health held its regular meeting on Wednesday,
January 24, 2001. The meeting was held at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Board
members present included Dr. Ed Clark, Dr. Robert Moseley, Dr. Bert Strom, Dr.
Caroline Wilson, Dr. Wally Kraft, and Mrs. Francis Ellis. Others in attendance included
Mr. Mike Malone, Mrs. LaDonna Koehn, Mr. Anthony Bethel, and Mr. Bob Ricks.
The meeting was called to order at 7:12 am. Minutes of the previous meeting were
approved. Under discussion of Mrs. Koehn attending a training seminar in San Diego,
Dr. Clark made a motion that was seconded by Dr. Strom to allow Mrs. Koehn to attend
the continuing education seminar in San Diego. The motion carried.
Under discussion of the Health Department building, Mr. Bethel informed the Board that
the ceiling was falling down in the hall area, and asked for Board guidance in repairing
the area. Mr. Malone suggested using probationers or jail inmates for labor to repair the
ceiling. Dr. Strom suggested that the Board contact the Agape Clinic that owns the
building across the street from the Health Department to see if there was the possibility of
the Health Department utilizing part of that building. Dr. Strom volunteered to contact
Dr. Leddy with the Agape Clinic and discuss a joint effort of agencies occupying the
building.
Mr. Bethel passed out monthly reports, and Dr. Kraft inquired as to the septic system
process in the county.
The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday, February 21, 2001, at 7:00 am at
Christus St. Joseph's Hospital.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 am.
Respectfully submitted,
(ZA"
Bob Ricks
