MINUTES OF MEETING <br />PARIS -LAMAR COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH <br />The Paris -Lamar County Board of Health held its regular meeting on Wednesday, August <br />23, 2000, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. <br />Board members present included Dr. Ed Clark, Dr. Wally Kraft, Dr. Caroline Wilson, <br />Dr. Robert Moseley, and Dr. Bert Strom. Others in attendance included Heather <br />Blackburn, Anthony Bethel, and Bob Ricks. <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:23 am, and the minutes from the previous meeting <br />were approved. Under discussion of the CHIPS contract, Dr. Kraft suggested changed <br />the duration to 90 days, and the services to be filled in are well care, preventative care, <br />sick or ill care, and injures. Dr. Clark made a motion that was seconded by Dr. Wilson to <br />approve the CHIPS contract with the above mentioned changes. The motion carried. <br />Under discussion of Hepatitis A, Anthony reported that we'had 47 cases, and it was <br />slowing down. Dr. Kraft suggested having another food handler school and stress <br />cleanliness and handwashing. <br />Under monthly reports, Anthony informed the Board that the Health Department might <br />get an immunization grant in the amount of $50,023. Anthony advise dthe board that the <br />State Health Department had called and added $9250 extra from a budget revision. Dr. <br />Clark questioned whether or not immunization records were combined with the Health <br />Department and WIC. Dr. Kraft informed the Board that he would speak with the City <br />Manager regarding filling the vacant positions at the Health Department. <br />The next meeting was scheduled for September 27"', at Christus St. Joseph.
