They elected to begin their meetings at 5:00 p.m. and end the meetings <br />no later than 7:00 p.m. Mr. Mcllyar said he would get to the meetings as quickly as he <br />could, once the PEDC meetings were concluded. <br />Due to the Chamber of Commerce banquet being scheduled for October 27th and <br />Thanksgiving Holiday in November, the Committee scheduled their next meetings for <br />Tuesday, November 10th and Tuesday, November 17th. Both meetings will begin at 5:00 <br />p.m. <br />5. Overview of Fire and Building Codes. <br />Chief Grooms presented each committee member with a notebook of information, <br />a copy of the 2006 International Building Codes and a copy of the 2006 International Fire <br />Codes. Chairman Waldrum inquired of Council Member Pickle as to the Council's charge <br />for this Committee. Council Member Pickle said that Council had discussed adoption of <br />the 2006 Codes, but with amendments to adhere to the needs of Paris. Chairman <br />Waldrum asked if the Fire and Building Codes should be considered together and Chief <br />Grooms answered in the affirmative. Council Member Pickle said he would like for the <br />Committee to be able to present something to Council in April, because in May a new <br />Council would be seated. <br />6. Future agenda items. <br />Chairman Waldrum asked City Clerk Janice Ellis to obtain copies of documents from <br />similar cities that had adopted the 2006 Codes. Mr. Waldrum specifically asked for copies <br />from the cities referenced in the notebook presented by Chief Grooms. <br />7.
