-2-
Other items worthy of comment are as follows:
1. Marking on Runway 13/31 is marginal at best. With this being
the active runway during overlay of 17/35, you are urged to renew
this marking immediately. Also, the taxiway marking including
hold lines need repainting. The City has already been called for
assistance.
2. Daily inspection records were found satisfactory, however, it
was noted that they could be useful to fully document activities
and corrective actions taken to provide a historical reference
in case of an accident investigation.
3. Cox Field presently has three runways to maintain creating a
strain on personnel and resources. You might wish to consider
closure of one runway to direct maintenance activity to keeping
two runways in excellent shape rather than three in fair condition.
4. The parallel taxiway has numerous cracked slabs, especially in
the vicinity of where it curves out to meet the runway. Sealing
and overlay of this taxiway would appear to be the next priority
of work on the airport. ,
5. The agency policy on removal of tetrahedrons was discussed.
The airport expressed no interest in removing their tetrahedron.
Original aid {;
G. Thomas Ora v) c
G.
