the City of Paris give FAA a guaranteed 15 years maximum lease if FAA would
agree to occupy for a minimum of at least 10 years.
After the items on the agenda had been discussed, Mr. John Wright asked Jim
Collier why the large tetrahedron on the airfield had not been lighted.
Considerable discussion followed. Mr. Collier advised that he was seeking
information on the wiring to the present wind -sock. If it will carry the
extra load, direction will be needed on where to attach the wire to the
line to the tetrahedron. It was the feeling of the pilots present that
the tetrahedron had great advantages over the wind -sock as a navigation aid
to the local field.
Mr. Bob Wright questioned the security of airplanes parked in the large
hangar and reported that his airplane had been broken into and some
personal items had been taken. The Board felt that this was a problem to
be taken care of by Mr. Collier, the Airport Manager, and local police, but
we did feel that it was worth further discussion. It was agreed that the
subject would be placed on the agenda for the next meeting.
The agenda for the next meeting was established.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:50 P.M.
