MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 1977 <br />7:00 O'CLOCK P. M. <br />COX FIELD AIRPORT <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The Airport Adivsory Board met in regular session Tuesday, November 29, 1977 <br />at 7:00 o'clock p.m. in the Terminal Building at Cox Field Airport. <br />The meeting was called the order at 7:15 p.m. by Chairman, Rick Rex. Other <br />members attending the meeting were as follows: <br />1. Lawrence Mann - acting Secretary <br />2. Wayne Clement <br />Also in attendance at the meeting was Jim Collier, Airport Manager. <br />Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as revised. The <br />revision was in the last sentence. Installation to be made on runway 17 <br />was changed to runway 13 - -31. <br />Flight operation permits were read which were requested for the year 1978: <br />James Howel, requested agriculture and flight instruction (no change). <br />Paris Flight Center; Bill Howard requested flight instruction and aircraft <br />rental (no change). James W. Wrenn requested agricultural and flight <br />instruction (no change). A motion was made by Mann to grant the request <br />and was seconded by Clement and motion passed. <br />The appointment for a permanent secretary for committee was tabled at that <br />time and will discussed at the next meeting. <br />A progress report on the overlay on runway 17 -35 was given by Jim Collier, <br />who reported that the contract had been granted and they hoped the work would <br />be granted in the near future. There was some concern expressed by members <br />of the committe that if work was started in the near future the runway would <br />be out of commission for an unusually long time because of delays caused by <br />bad weather. <br />Request for private individual building additional T- hangars on Cox Field <br />was discussed. The exact details of the financial arrangement were not <br />completely available to the committee and no recommendation for or against <br />this project was made. <br />Lawrence Mann, M.D. <br />Acting Secretary <br />
