MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 1978 <br />7:00 O'CLOCK P. M. <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The Airport Advisory Board met <br />Thursday, November 30, 1978 at <br />building at Cox Firld Airport <br />present: <br />1. Rick Rea - Chairman <br />2. Dr. Lawrence Mann <br />in regular session on <br />7:00 P.M. in the terminal <br />with the following members <br />3. Bill Boothe <br />4- James Moseley <br />Also present at the meeting was Jim Collier, Airport Manager. <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Rea. The <br />minutes were approved as read. <br />Old Business: <br />1. The bid for the construction of T- hangars in the amount <br />of $68,225. was accepted from Mr. James Wright. <br />Preliminary work on the hangars began Nov. 30. <br />Materials are scheduled to be received by February and <br />the projected completion date is early spring. <br />2. A motion was made by Dr. Mann that the City lease the <br />big hangar to James Wrenn beginning Jan.-1, 1979 for <br />a period of 10 years with two 5 year options. The <br />initial rental fee to be $300.00 per month including <br />utilities with the city reserving for its use the <br />operations office, pilot lounge, and restrooms. A <br />rental fee of $350.00 per month including utilities to <br />take effect after the city has vacated the operations <br />office, pilots lounge and restroom. Rental rates <br />shall be re- negotiated between lessor and lessee at <br />renewal dates. Current tennants now leasing space <br />from the city shall be a1 d -to remain in the large <br />hangar until the first of the month which falls 30 <br />days after completion and acceptance of the new hangars <br />by the city of Paris, with Mr. Wrenn's monthly rental <br />rate to be net of rents collected for such leased <br />space. <br />The motion was seconded by Bill Boothe. The vote was <br />unanamous. <br />3. The board recommends the construction of a Firehouse <br />be delayed until fiscal year 1979 -80. It is the feeling <br />of the board that the funds budgeted for this project <br />are inadequate and that some 6?- these funds could be <br />out to better use on some other projects. <br />
