MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 1979 <br />6:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The Airport Advisory Board met in regular session in the <br />terminal building at Cox Field on Tuesday, February 27, 1979, <br />at 6:00 p.m. with the following members present: <br />1. Rick Rex, chairman 4. Allie O'Brien <br />2. James Mosely 5. Joann Ondrovik- Burress <br />3. T.D. Mallison <br />Guests present at the meeting were Aftdy Faskin, Don Whitaker, <br />John Wright, Harley Waggoner, and Jimmy Wrenn. <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Rick Rex, and <br />the minutes from the previous meeting were approved as read. <br />Old Business: <br />1. Progress on the T- Hanger- Jim Collier reported that further <br />construction was being delayed by the weather, and that it <br />will resume as soon as the weather clears up. <br />2 and 3. Jim Wilson of the City Engineering Department <br />presented rough draft plans to the Board members to inspect. <br />An extensive discussion about the underground storage tanks <br />ensued. Items covered were vapor returns for the tanks <br />(regulations to be presented at the next meeting), costs of <br />tanks of various sizes, and possible discounts of fuel <br />bought in quantity. Allie O'Brien moved to ask the City <br />Council to advertise for bids to install a 6000 gallon and <br />an 8000 gallon tank, the money for this to be from the <br />surplus money budgeted for the T- Hanger construction. T.D. <br />Mallison seconded the motion, and it passed unanimously. <br />4. There was no other Old Business. <br />New Business: <br />1. Andy Faskin presented a proposed lease agreement by <br />Mr. Faskin, Harley Waggoner, Bob Singer and Larry Ferguson <br />to the Board, and its provisions were discussed. A motion <br />was made by Allie O'Brien and seconded by T.D. Mallison to <br />recommend to the City Council to accept the lease agreement <br />for 20 years, with a 5 year option. The City will be responsible <br />for all the provisions within the lease. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />2. The question of charging tie -down fees was discussed. <br />Mr. Collier stated that: (1) if the fees were charged, the <br />City would be responsible for the care and safety of the planes; <br />
