MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />TUESDAY,AUGUST 28, 1979 <br />7x15 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The airport advisory Board met in regular session at Cox Field <br />Airport on Tuesday, August 28, 1979 at 7:15 p.m. with the follow- <br />ing members presents <br />Board Members <br />1. Rick Rex, Chairman <br />3. James Mosley <br />5. Allie O'Brien <br />Others presents <br />Jim Collier, Airport Manager <br />Mary Beth Hudnull, Paris News <br />Jimmy & Billy Wren <br />Theron Mannis <br />2. T.D. Mallsion <br />4. Joann Ondrovik- Secretary <br />Judy Barnett, KPRE <br />Bob & Pat ._Wright <br />Don Whittaker <br />Bill Booth <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Rex and the minutes <br />were approved as mailed. <br />Old Businesss <br />1. Progress report on T- Hangers, ramps and taxiways; According <br />to Manager Collier, thesteel is up and three bids have been <br />submitted to be opened by the city council on September 10 <br />for paving ramps and taxiways. <br />2. Review Master Plan and discuss priorities; <br />This item was not applicable according to Mr. Collier because <br />it had been previous ly discussed during Mr. Hayters" present- <br />ation in June. <br />New Businesss <br />1. John Wright and other members of the newly formed Pilots <br />of Paris Association (P 0 P A) protested the hangar rental <br />fees recommended by the Board and approved by the City Council <br />in August. <br />Rick Rex explained that rates had been figured on the basis <br />of 1% of the city's total construction costs($68,225). <br />Bob Wright suggested a study of T- Hanger rental fees and <br />services at other comparable airports. <br />John Wright restated that the rental fees were not the issue <br />for him but rather the lack of airport services.
