Clark Estes, Jr. - Chalman <br />2� Dr C. E. Gilmore <br />3. Dr. Jim Miles <br />4� R. B. Staples, Jr. <br />5. Hoer Thornton <br />Chairman Estes called the meeting to order and the Minutes of April 7, 1975 <br />were approved. <br />The first order of business was a Public Heiring to consider the petition of <br />Sandra Ingram for a change in zoning from a Two-Family Divelling District <br />(2F) to a Neighborhood Service Dist 7 'rict (NS) on Lots ! and 8, City Block <br />227-E., located at 343 20th N.E. <br />Mr® Webb Biard, representing,,the applicant, stated that the properky had <br />been used for the last 12-15 years as a beauty salon and residence and the <br />owner -was under the impressloA that it was properly zoned as such. She <br />wishes to add to the present building, enough room for an additional beauty <br />operator. She was unable to get a building permit because of the 2F zoning <br />on the property. <br />Mr. Vi ,rd pointed out to the Camtsslon that the P',POPeTtY Just south of the <br />Ingram tract is being used as a grocery stcre. Ms. Ingram was present and <br />stated the proposed addition would not involve building any closer to the <br />property line. <br />Thare was no one present in opposition to Vie requist. <br />Follawt'nq discussion, Dr. Milles made a motion, secinded by Mr. Staples, to <br />reconmend approval of the petition. The motion carried unanimously, <br />The next Item of business MM the petition of D. A. Ensey, Jr. for a change <br />In zoning from a One-Rally Dwelling ,District No. 2 (SF-2) to a Coanercial <br />District (C) on Lot 11, City Block 40. 216, located on the west stda. on <br />Loop 286 N.E. approximately 785 feet north of Pine Mill Road. <br />Mr. Ensay was present and stated that s!Ahen he purchased this property it <br />was part of a 32 acre tract consisting of Lots 11 and 22, City Block 2160 <br />He requested CrxwerOal zoning at the time he bought it, but Lot 11 was <br />inadvertantly left out of the change and only Lot 12 was zoned. With <br />Comercial zoning on the north and scuth of Lot 11, it should also be <br />Commercial. <br />
