October 2, 1975 <br />MEMORANDUM <br />40 PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />FROM : DIRECTOR OF C0144UNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />SUBJECT: AGENDA ITEMS FOR OCTUDER , 1 975 <br />I. MIKE D. LEE: This request for Planned Development- Shopping Center zoning is <br />on an 11.75 acre tract of land adjacent to the Westinghouse Plant on Clarks - <br />ville Street. The preliminary proposal calls for 194,000 sq. ft. of retail <br />buildings to be constructed on the site with the principal tenant being a <br />Wal -Mart Store. <br />As of this date, the required Comprehensive Site Plan has not been submitted <br />for staff review. The staff feels the proposed shopping center is a proper <br />use of the lard and would be con sistant with the present zoning along this <br />section of Clarksville Street. <br />In the absence of a Comprehensive Site Plan for the development of this <br />property, it would be proper to recommend approval of the zoning change <br />pending submission of a satisfactory Site Plan. This will require that we <br />hold the public hearing open until the next meeting in order to properly <br />review the Site Plan. <br />2. JOHN PASSE Planned Development -Multi <br />
