!:2 <br />MINUTES OF THE BUILDING COMMISSON <br />The Building Commission of the City of Paris met in a called meeting, <br />Tuesday, November 28, 1978 at 7:00 P.M. in the Council Room, City Hall, <br />with the following members present: <br />I. t-I.D. Misso - Chairman 5. Vernon Redus <br />2. Nathan Bell 6. Thomas Robinson <br />3. George Crane 7. Donald Stone <br />4. Ennis Killingsworth <br />City Staff members present were Joe McCollum, Horace Shires, and Steve <br />Methven. <br />Chairman Misso called the meeting to order and the present Plumbing_ Code <br />dated 1969 and the latest ;printing of the Texas Municipal League's recommended <br />Plumbing Code, dated 1977 were discussed.. <br />Particular attention was given to sections pertaining to "stop and waste <br />valves ", natural gas connections, and re- inspection fees. <br />On a motion by Mr. Stone, seconded by Mr. Redus, the Commission unanimously <br />voted to recommend to the City Council, adoption of the 1977 Texas Municipal <br />League's Plumbing Code with the following amendments: <br />(1) Paragraph 1.1 shall be changed to read as follows: "This ordinance <br />shall be known as the 1977 Plumbing Code for the City of Paris, Paris; <br />Texas, and may be cited as such." <br />(2) Paragraph 2.1.shall be completed by inserting "Paris" in the four <br />blanks therein. <br />(3) Paragraph 3.1 shall be completed by inserting "Paris" in the two <br />blanks therein. <br />(4) Paragraph 3.2 shall be completed by inserting "Paris" in the blank <br />contained therein. <br />(5) In Paragraph 7.1 in the second sentence, the word "mayor" is deleted, <br />and "city manager" is inserted in.its place. <br />(5.1) Paragraph 8.1 shall be deleted and the following shall be inserted. <br />"8.1 CREATION OF PLUMBING APPEALS AND ADVISORY BOARD: There is hereby <br />created a plumbing appeals and advisory board consisting. of the members <br />of the building commission of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas." <br />(5.2) Paragraphs 8.1.2, 8.1.3 and 8.1.4 shall be deleted. <br />(6)'Paragra.pti-.9.1.5(2) shall be changed to read as fol lows: "Any property <br />owner for plumbing work to be done by him in a building owned and occupied <br />by him as his home." <br />
