Y ,t <br />..s <br />(25) Paragraph' 2.2.2.6 Change to read as follows: "Bushings: Bushings shall <br />not be used." <br />(26) Paragraph 22.2.8:Change °to-,,read .as folloiws:All connections between <br />ferrous and non - ferrous piping except appliance connections and between <br />above ground and below ground steel piping shall be made by the.use of <br />dielectric couplings or unions. <br />(27) Paragraph 22.2.10 shall be deleted. <br />(28) Paragraph 22.2.11 shall be changed to read as follows: <br />House Piping First Opening.: House piping shall be no less than 1 <br />inch in size from the meter to the first opening, provided the meter sets <br />at the building and no less than 1, inch when the meter is located at the <br />curb or property line, provided the size is sufficient for capacity requirements. <br />(29) Paragraph 22.2.9 Add the following sentence "Polyethylene, pine shall <br />terminate underground at meter locations with 1 inch or larger approved . <br />riser bends and support posts." <br />(30) Paragraph 22.2.13 Shall be changed to read as follows: When it is <br />necessary that a house pipe be laid underground, the underground black <br />steel portion including joints and risers shall be protected against <br />soil corrosion with an approved type protective coating sacrificial <br />anode or polyethelene with tracer. wire. Polyethelene pipe shall not extend:; <br />above ground level or under any buildings or into any building or other <br />structure. Metal casing may be used in lieu of tracer wire. <br />(31) Paragraph 2-2.2.15 Add the following sentences " Polyethylene pipe <br />shall be installed underground on undisturbed or well compacted soil. <br />:Bed Polyethylene pipe I n sand or suitable existing backfill free of. rocks <br />or other objects which would damage the piping. Underground customer piping <br />shall buried a minimum of 12 inches with depth increased to 18 inches at <br />connection point with the Gas Company - owned service. <br />(32) Paragraph 22.2.17 Change to read as follows: "Manufacturer's specified'' <br />joint compounds shall be used sparingly and applied only'to the'male threads <br />in making up joints on house piping. <br />(33) Paragraph 22.2.20 Add new paragraph to read " Gas Company Regulations:: <br />No person, firm, or corporation other than Gas Company employees or-agents- <br />shall connect or disconnect customer -owned piping to.or fromGas Company- <br />owned lines. The' Gas Company shall decide ai,d designate in every case the <br />type of gas meter to be set, where the meter shall be located, and the <br />point at which the customer -owned piping shall be connected to the Gas <br />Company -owned lines. The plumber shall first ascertain this. information <br />from the Gas Company before installing a proper meter loop or extending the <br />customer -owned piping to the point of connection. <br />(34) Paragraph 22.6.1 Section B shall be deleted and the following sentences <br />added to Section C. "Return -air connections in the furnace room, or directly <br />above or below the furnace room shall be made as to preclude any possibility <br />of air being drawn from the furnace room into the return -air duct or open <br />living area by action of the furnace fan. " "The furnace room door or doors <br />must be solid, reagonably Ji:ght without'-vents or other means of allowing <br />combustion air to be secured from the living.area. <br />
