MINUTES <br />CALLED MEETING <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />TUESDAY, AUGUST 7, 1979 <br />5:15 O'CLOCK P. M. <br />CONFERENCE ROOM - CITY HALL <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The Board of Adjustment met in a called meeting, Tuesday, August 7, 1979 <br />at 5:15 P.M. with the following members present: <br />1. Spencer Abbett <br />2. Dee Cunningham <br />3. Bill Lightfoot <br />4. J. W. Williams <br />In the absense of F.D. Mallory, III, Spencer Abbett served as acting <br />Chairman and called -- zeting' t � order. <br />The minutes of April 4, 1979 were approved as submitted. <br />Mr. Abbett opened the hearing on the appeal of Mrs. Ruth Jackson for a <br />variance to Section 9 -201 (1) of the City of Paris Zoning Ordinance on <br />Lot 22, L. Townsend Addition located at 2640 Pine Bluff Street. <br />Joe McCollum, Director of Community Development, reviewed the matter <br />stating that a building permit had been denied for an additional house <br />on this property because there was not sufficient frontage on Pine <br />Bluff for two 60' wide lots. Mrs. Jackson was seeking a - rriance which <br />would allow a 55' wide lot for the house she wanted to build. He went <br />on to say that there were other lots in the immediate area with less than <br />60 foot width. <br />Mr. Herman Talley was present representing Mrs. Jackson and he stated <br />he would build the house for her if the variance was approved. <br />There was no one else present to speak 6n the matter and the hearing <br />was closed. <br />Mr. Williams stated he had looked at the property and felt the variance <br />was in order. He made a motion to approve the request. Mr. Lightfoot <br />seconded the motion which carried unanimously. <br />With no further business to consider, the meeting was adjourned. <br />N.
