b- lt�� �, � <br />COST ESTIMATES; DILAPIDATED STRUCTURES: <br />Costs associated with the removal of dilapidated structures are <br />listed below. <br />Salvage is at no cost. <br />Grinding (if used) is $300.00 per hour (last operation two years <br />ago) Reduction of waste is approximately 60 per cent. <br />Loading /hauling is at $60.00 per load for average in -City <br />hauling. $35.00 per hour is paid for bulk long distance hauling <br />(land field) . <br />Dozer work is variable depending on the size of the equipment <br />needed. This cost ranges from $35.00 up to 65.00 per hour. <br />Landfill costs: 7.63 per yard. An increase is expected soon. <br />An average structure has been costing approximately $2,500.00 <br />total. This includes all costs with total removal to the <br />landfill. The structure is removed and the lot is cleaned and <br />leveled. <br />MOWING: <br />Current cost is $30.00 per lot with no variance as to size for <br />the regular mowing list. Extremely large properties are rare and <br />they are mowed by quote. <br />We currently mow over 600. <br />TREE REMOVAL <br />Small : Under $100.00 <br />Meduim: $150.00 to $250.00 <br />Large : $350 up <br />Large with obstacles such as power lines: Up to $1,000.00 <br />RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CODE ENFORCEMENT <br />1. There are other cities that have created by ordinance the <br />authority for the Building Official to oversee a select committee <br />of key personnel in reviewing a structure for immediate removal. <br />The ordinance requested would apply to any structure that is <br />dilapidated or damaged by fire or weather more than 50 %. Work <br />is immediately provided for by the owner or by the city and then <br />billed to the owner. <br />
