Mr. Wilson said on service lines, that account went from
$1,000.00 to $80,000.00. City Manager Malone said that is to
encapsulate the main water lines coming into the City where it crosses
Smith Creek to keep them from washing out.
Mr. Wilson asked Mr. Campbell how many gallons of water can you treat
right now. Mr. Campbell advised that he has four people budgeted in
this department, and they do a wonderful job. They keep the lift stations
spotless. Mr. Campbell told the Committee that 10 to 12 years ago the
city was under the gun from the EPA on the lift stations, but they have
been upgraded with good equipment, and an alarm system.
Director of Finance, Gene Anderson, said the next department is the
Warehouse and there is no change in it at all, but if the Committee has
any questions, he would be glad to answer them.
City Manager Malone advised that it is a Water and Sewer Fund
Department, and most of the materials that are in the warehouse are
utilized by that fund.
Mr. Wilson wanted to know how much income is coming from Lamar
