0504 VEHICLE MAINTENANCE
We would like to start a program which re -packs the pumps on an bi -annual basis. Jim
Faulkner, Special Equipment Company, stated that this should be done to extend the life of the
pump. The 1996 Quality, Engine 4, should be re- packed in the 99/00 budget year.
Other than this item, the fleet is in excellent condition and other money's are strictly for
preventative maintenance.
0510 Electronic Data Processing
1. Internet Contracts
$ 450.00
This is cost for two contracts which will add to this account. Use of this service
has become entirely necessary. So much is now available that non -users are
falling behind. The account that we currently have has paid for itself many times
over.
2. NFPA Codes (cd -rom)
,:1111I11
The NFPA codes are specified as a supplement to the Standard Codes that are the
adopted municipal codes for construction and management of fire concerns.
SECTION FOUR: CAPITAL ACCOUNTS
0901 BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES:
Overall, we are nearly through with the construction needs for fire department operations.
If we can answer to the following needs, the department will be equipped for many years.
highly recommend funding for each area of need.
1. South station
2. East station
I have not included funding but do list the stations as a reminder that we did not budget enough
in the 98 -99 budget. With current discussions on methods of construction this item needs further
discussion with management prior to finalizing funding costs.
3. Administrative Office
I have heard very little discussion concerning the Lamar County Electric building. If this is still
in the works, would any funding for conversion be necessary.
