PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING October 5, 1998 The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, October 5, 1998 at 5:30 in the City Hall - Council Room, Paris, Texas with the following members present: 1. Reeves Hayter 4. - Marshall Kent 2. Curtis Fendley 5. Cesar Horta 3. Eva Flenniken Steve Methven and Scott Foster, the City Attorney, was also present. The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter. The minutes from the September 8, 1998, regular planning and zoning meeting were approved with a motion by Cesar Horta and seconded by Eva Flenniken. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. 2. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Sangyoon Lee for a change in zoning from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Multiple - Family Dwelling District No. 1 (MF -1) Lot 8, City Block 258, being number 621 N.E. 25th Street. The public hearing was declared open. Sangyoon Lee spoke in favor of the petition stating that he wants to place 5 or 6 duplexes on the lot. A.W. Clem, attorney representing Mr. Lee, also spoke in favor of the petition. Reeves Hayter asked if a site plan had been done. Marshall Kent wanted to know how duplexes would be set on lot. A.W. Clem stated the quality of duplexes to be built. No one spoke in opposition of the petition. 3. Consideration of and action on the petition of Sangyoon Lee for a change in zoning from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Multiple - Family Dwelling District No. 1 (MF -1) Lot 8, City Block 258, being number 621 N.E. 25th Street. Motion was made to approve as Planned Development (PD -b). Motion was made by Bobby Myers and seconded by Marshall Kent. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays.
