Ms. Jackie Wood, 3415 Vagas, opposed the petition. She showed photos to the <br />commission of property to be developed. Her concern is storm drainage which is <br />already a problem. She feels traffic is a problem and the road needs to be wider. <br />Ms. Patsy Guest, 1815 34th N.E. is concerned about storm drainage, more noise, <br />traffic, lights, and worsened storm drainage. She wants property left as <br />Agriculture or Single Family. <br />Mac Ross, 3415 Reno Drive, asked about the City's plans to improve drainage. <br />Earl Smith, City Engineer, stated that the city has no immediate plans to improve. <br />He also asked why the ditch had not been cleaned in Oak Creek subdivision. <br />Ms. Mary Montgomery, 34th N.E., complained about corner at Loop especially a <br />fire hydrant. She thinks houses in the subdivision are bigger than 1600 S.F. She <br />feels that traffic and storm drainage is a problem. <br />Mr. Ed Woemer, 3410 Fargo, does not oppose Single Family development but is <br />afraid of property becoming devalued. He stated that the traffic load and drainage <br />is already a problem and it is hard to enter Loop 286. <br />There were approximately 17 citizens in attendance. <br />There was no further opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br />7. Consideration of and action on the petition of Monte Moore for a change in <br />zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Commercial District (C) and <br />One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2), Lot 5, City Block 318, being <br />numbers 1100 thru 1300 N.E. 34th Street. <br />Motion was made by Joe McCarthy to deny and seconded by Bobby L.
