Motion was made to deny by Bobby L. Myers and seconded by Joe McCarthy. <br />Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. <br />4. Public Hearing to consider the petition of John Mark Spencer for a change in <br />zoning from a General Retail District (GR) to a Commercial District (C), <br />Lots 3 and 4, Block 4, S.J. Wright's Addition, being number 1825 Bonham <br />Street. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Mr. John M. Spencer spoke in favor of the petition stating that he wants to build <br />nice storage units, 40 units with brick front and asphalt paving. He thinks his <br />project would upgrade appearance. <br />There was no opposition. <br />Reeves Harter mentioned to the commission that he feels Planned Development <br />zoning may be more appropriate. <br />There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br />5. Consideration of and action on the petition of John Mark Spencer for a <br />change in zoning from a General Retail District (GR) to a Commercial <br />District (C), Lots 3 end 4, Block 4, S.J. Wright's Addition, being number <br />1825 Bonham Street. <br />Motion was made to approve with Planned Development Commercial Center <br />(PD -al) zoning recommendation by Bobby L. Myers and seconded by Reeves <br />Hayter. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 0 nays. <br />6. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Monte Moore for a change in <br />zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a Commercial District (C) and <br />One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2), Lot 5, City Block 318, being <br />numbers 1100 thru 1300 N.E. 34th Street. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Mr. Monte Moore wants One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) along 34th <br />N.E. frontage and remaining lot zoned as Commercial for mini warehouses. He <br />wants to deed restrict One - Family Dwelling District (SF -2) to 1600 S.F. and brick <br />with back entrance garages in an alley. The Commercial zoned property entrance <br />would be from 34th N.E. <br />Mr. Moore showed preliminary intent to audience. <br />
