PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING <br />DECEMBER 4, 2000 <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met Monday, December 4, 2000 at 5:30 at Paris Junior <br />College, Applied Technology Building, Rm. 1016, 2400 Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas with the <br />following members present: <br />1. Reeves Hayter <br />2. Curtis Fendley <br />3. Barbara Forrest <br />4. Eddie Vincent <br />5. Marshall Kent <br />6. Bobby L. Myers <br />7. Louis Yates, Jr. <br />Steve Methven, the building official was also present. <br />The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter. <br />1. The minutes from the November 6, 2000 regular planning and zoning meeting were <br />approved with a motion by Curtis Fendley seconded by Bobby Myers. Motion carried by a <br />vote of 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br />2. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Don A. Ensey for a change in zoning from <br />a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Light Industrial District (LI), Lot 1, <br />City Block 276, being the 1100 Block of Clement Road. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Don Ensey spoke in favor of the petition stating that his plans are to clean up property and <br />later build metal buildings for service type businesses with commercial storage at rear of <br />property. There is no agreement for any type of business at this time. Mr. Ensey stated that <br />this property could not be developed for single family houses. <br />There was no opposition, public hearing was declared closed. <br />3. Consideration of and action on the petition of Don A. Ensey for a change in zoning <br />from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Light Industrial District (LI), <br />Lot 1, City Block 276, being the 1100 Block of Clement Road. <br />Motion was made to approve by Bobby Myers and seconded by Eddie Vincent. Motion <br />carried by a vote of 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br />4. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Ray Spencer for a change in zoning from a <br />One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a General Retail District (GR), Lot 12, <br />City Block 222 -B, being number 2636 E. Price. <br />
