City Attorney Haynes advised that the City's Director of Finance is <br />charged with the responsibility of handling the City's money and <br />carrying out the budget as approved by the City Council. <br />City Manager Malone advised that it was the recommendation of the <br />Police Chief, Karl Louis, to award the bids for the four mobile 2 -way <br />radios, and rebid the three portable 2 -way radios as the incorrect <br />specifications were sent out. <br />After further discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Booth to <br />award the bid for four mobile 2 -way radios to Airwaves Communications <br />in the amount of $3,059.84, and rebid the three portable 2 -way radios. <br />The motion carried 4 ayes, 1 nay, Councilman Burnett voting nay. <br />City Manager Malone called for the tabulations of bids for furnishing <br />and delivery of ammunition for the Paris Police Department, and advised <br />that only one bid was received that being from Accurate Ammunition, in <br />the amount of $3,906.00 which meets all specifications and is within <br />the budgeted amount of $6,500.00. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Shelton <br />to award the bid to Accurate Ammunition in the amount .of.$3,_906.00. <br />The motion carried 5 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Manager Malone called for the tabulations of bids. for furnishing <br />and delivery of new uniforms for the Police Department, and the <br />following bids were presented: <br />Mens Short Sleeve Shirts <br />Mens Long Sleeve Shirts <br />Mens Pants <br />Recruit Jacket <br />Tuffy Jacket <br />Convertible Jacket <br />Womens Long Sleeve Shirt <br />Womens Short Sleeve Shirt <br />Womens Pants <br />TYLER UNIFORM CO.
