3/18 <br />ABSENTEE VOTES - A TOTAL OF 242 VOTES WERE CAST AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />For 111 <br />Against 131 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF PARIS, that from the above and foregoing canvass <br />of the returns of the votes in the seven (7) respective <br />voting boxes in such election, it is declared and determined <br />that the imposition of sales and use tax for industrial <br />development failed by a vote of 468 for and 852 against. <br />Passed and adopted <br />Paris in regular session <br />of the Election Code of <br />day of January, 1991. <br />by the City Council of the City of <br />convened pursuant to the directions <br />the State of Texas, on this the 21st <br />Eric S. Clifford, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Hattie Cunningham, City Clerk <br />APPROVED ,AS 0 FORM: <br />i <br />T. K. Hayne,6, City Attorney <br />Resolution No. 91 -014 approving the plans and specifications for the <br />Pro Rata 12" Water Line Extension Hwy 271 North Project, and <br />authorizing advertisement for bids to be received after due notice and <br />thereafter returned to City Council for letting at 2:00 P. M. on <br />Tuesday February 26, 1991, and should be presented to the City Council <br />on the 11th day of March, 1991, for the purpose of letting such bids. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Fendley, seconded by Councilman Burnett <br />for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
