MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />February 11, 1991 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session, Monday, <br />February 11, 1991, 6:00 P. M., City Council Chamber, City Hall, Paris, <br />Texas. Mayor Eric Clifford called the meeting to order with the <br />following Council Members present: Curtis Fendley, George Fisher, Jr., <br />Marshall H. Kent, Jr., E. W. (Bill) Booth, and Billy Joe Burnett, Emma <br />Smith absent. Also present was City Manager, Michael E. Malone, City <br />Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham. <br />Invocation was given by Councilman George Fisher, Jr. <br />Mayor Clifford asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of <br />previous meetings, there being none, the minutes were approved as <br />presented. <br />City Manager Malone announced the first item of business was receipt of <br />reports from Committees, Boards and Commissions. Minutes from the <br />Fairgrounds Committee of the City Council, Paris Public Library <br />Advisory Board, and Paris /Lamar County Health Board were presented with <br />no action being required. <br />On the recommendation of the Traffic Commission, consideration of and <br />action on authorizing the preparation of an ordinance revising Section <br />31 -65 (b) of the Code of Ordinances revising the Traffic - Control Map <br />providing for stop signs as following: <br />8th N. E. at East Hickory (Stopping traffic from -the South on 8th N. <br />E. at East Hickory). <br />28th S. W. and West Kaufman (Stopping traffic from the West on West <br />Kaufman at 28th S. W.). <br />29th S. W. and West Kaufman (Stopping traffic from the North and South <br />on 29th at West Kaufman). <br />30th S. W. and West Kaufman (Stopping traffic from the North on 30th at <br />West Kaufman). <br />31st S. W. and West Kaufman (Stopping Traffic from the North and South <br />on 31st at West Kaufman). <br />32nd S. W. and West Kaufman (Stopping traffic from the North on 32nd at <br />West Kaufman). <br />33rd S. W. and West Kaufman (Stopping traffic from the North and South <br />on 33rd at West Kaufman). <br />34th S. W. and West Kaufman (Stopping traffic from the East on Kaufman <br />at 34th S. W.). <br />A motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by Councilman Fisher <br />authorizing preparation of an ordinance revising Section 31 -65 (b) of <br />
