RESOLUTION NO. 88 -024 <br />WHEREAS, the lease of B. J. Fain and the option thereon <br />will expire on the 31st day of May, 1988; and, <br />WHEREAS, it would be right and proper to advertise for <br />bids for lease for the 265 acres of Lake Gibbons property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the City Clerk, Mattie Cunningham, be, and she <br />is hereby authorized to advertise for bids, to be received <br />after due notice until Wednesday, April 6, 1988, and there- <br />after presented to the City Council on the 11th day of <br />April, 1988, for the purpose of letting such bid. <br />Passed and adopted this 14th day of March, 1988. <br />4.`K- Btfrnett, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />atttie Cunningham, City C er <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />T. Haynes, City Attorney <br />Resolution No. 88 -025 declaring the failure of the North Interceptor <br />from approximately 365 feet from the manhole near the South Right of <br />Way line of Loop 286 N. E., Northeast to a manhole North of the North <br />right of way line of said Loop 286 N. E., and authorizing the City <br />staff to exercise the emergency powers as the same relate to budgeting, <br />expenditures, procurement and bid process with the only requirement <br />being that the City Council of the City of Paris be kept abreast of the <br />progress of the project was presented. <br />Earl Smith, Director of Engineering, appeared before the Council <br />presenting a sample of the sewer line showing the deterioration of the <br />line, and expressed the need for repair. Mr. Smith stated there was <br />bond money available for the repairs, and estimated the cost to be <br />approximately $70.000.00. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Kent, seconded by <br />Councilman Wortham for adoption of the Resolution. The motion carried <br />4 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
