2.---,/ <br />MINUTES OF THE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />APRIL 6, 1988 <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met in a called meeting, Wednesday, <br />April 7, 1988, at 5:15 P.M. in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, <br />Texas, with the following members present: <br />1. Charles Christian <br />2. Jacob Hildreth <br />3. Bruce McMonigle <br />4. Kyle Perry <br />5. Dorothy Smith <br />Also present was Joe McCollum, Director of Community Development. <br />Vice Chairman Hildreth called the meeting to order and announced that <br />the public hearing would continue on the petition of Weldon Houchins <br />for a change in zoning from an Agricultural District. (A) to a <br />Commercial District (C) on Lots 14 -A and 19, City Block 170 -C located <br />on the east side of S. Church Street north of Loop 286. <br />Sharon Houchins was present to represent the petition and told the <br />Commission of their plans to construct a car wash and storage building <br />on Lot 19. She said her husband is in the business of installing <br />gutters and needed a place to store supplies and equipment. <br />There was no one else present to speak and the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Discussion followed concerning existing zoning of Commercial and Light <br />Industrial in the area and Mr. Christian made a motion to recommend <br />approval of the change. Mrs. Smith seconded the motion which carried 5 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. <br />"44k' <br />J e N.
