s <br />RESOLUTION NO. 88 -008 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did <br />heretofore in Resolution 86 -112 direct that Ark -Tex Council <br />of Governments shall no longer administer or make applica- <br />tion for housing programs that can be administered by the <br />Housing Authority of the City of Paris; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it <br />to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris that any <br />prohibition against Ark -Tex Council of Governments adminis- <br />tering Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation Programs within the <br />corporate limits of the City of Paris be repealed; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That Ark -Tex Council of Governments is hereby <br />authorized and invited to make application for and <br />administer Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation Programs <br />within the corporate limits of the City of Paris and any <br />prohibition thereof is hereby repealed; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Mattie Cunningham, City <br />Clerk of the City of Paris, be, and she is hereby authorized <br />and directed to transmit a certified copy of this Resolution <br />to Ark -Tex Council of Governments. <br />Passed and adopted this 11th day of January, 1988. <br />y urnett, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Mattie Cunningham, City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />� - I rZ //4_r� I <br />. Haynes, City Attorney <br />Mayor Burnett called for consideration and action on authorizing <br />advertisement for bids for purchase of one flail mower for the Parks <br />Department. <br />Dick Boots, Director of Facilities, appeared before the Council <br />explaining that the Parks Department has two John Deere Flair Mowers, <br />one being seven years old, and the other nine years old, both have <br />been repaired during the past two years costing over $2,000.00, <br />
