64 RESOLUTION NO. 87 -033 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, in Resolution No. 86 -001, award the contract for construction of Additions to Water Treatment Plant to Heritage Con.structor's, Inc.; and, WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering, John Buss, recommends the amendment of said contract by Change Order No. 8 attached hereto as Exhibit "A ", which provides for a net increase in contract price of $3,654.00 to a total of $3,108,553.00 with four (4) days increase in contract time, for alternate temporary backwash installation, additional support braces for piping in sedimentation basins, concrete reinforcing dowels for backwash trough, adjustment to elevation of sedimentation basin sludge manhole, concrete reinforcing dowels for filter pipe gallery roof deck, reconstruct failed portions of high service pumpage metering manhole, two 45 ° -24" diameter bends to mitigate grade conflict between proposed 24" supernatant pipe and existing buried piping, electrical circuits necessary to power heat trace, power and control circuit for ammoniator, starter for blower motor on lime silo, deleting filter tile, deleting excess conduit allowance provided in item 1, deleting 540 linear feet of grout replacement, and authorizing contractor to proceed with modifications of high service pump suction piping by force account methods as specified under Method C in General Provisions, Part 6.03; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the contract for Additions to the Water Treat- ment Plant is hereby amended by Change Order No. 8 attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and the Mayor of the City of Paris, Billy Joe Burnett, is hereby authorized and directed, on behalf of the City of Paris, to execute said Change Order.
