D U _N <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87_QI6 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did <br />heretofore in Resolution No. 87 -006 authorize the leasing of <br />certain fairground property to the Red River Valley Fair <br />Association, Inc.; and, <br />WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the <br />City Council of the City of Paris that the insurance market <br />is such that the cost to the fairground Lessee and <br />Sub - Lessees individually is prohibitive and therefore it <br />was deemed appropriate for the City of- Paris to procure <br />insurance with said Lessee and Sub - Lessees bearing the cost <br />of the same and the Red River Valley Fair Association, <br />Inc.'s Lease contract with the City of Paris should be so <br />amended; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is right and proper that said Lease Agree- <br />ment be amended in the form of Addendum Number One attached <br />hereto as Exhibit No. 1; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the amendment to the Red River Valley Fair <br />Association, Inc.'s, Lease dated January 12, 1987, in the <br />form of Addendum Number One attached hereto as Exhibit No. 1 <br />be, and.the same is hereby approved; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Billy Joe Burnett, Mayor <br />of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris Addendum <br />Number One to the Red River Valley Fair Association, Inc.'s, <br />Lease dated. January 12, 1987, in the form of Addendum Number <br />One attached hereto as Exhibit No. 1. <br />Passed and adopted this 30th day of March, 1987. <br />W. C.
