TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE FAMILY <br />DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (SF -2); CONDITIONED ON BOTH EXISTING <br />STRUCTURES BEING ON CITY SEWER SERVICE; AND DESIGNATING THE <br />BOUNDARIES OF THE TWO FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (2F) SO ESTABLISHED <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bufford, seconded by <br />Councilman Clifford for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 87 -026 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONTAINING A HEARING ON PROPERTIES LOCATED IN THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, TEXAS BELONGING TO VARIOUS OWNERS AND AN ORDINANCE OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL FINDING THE MATERIALS REMAINING ON THE PREMISES TO <br />CONSTITUTE A NUISANCE AND TO BE A FIRE HAZARD TO LIFE AND PROPERTY <br />AND A HAZARD TO THE LIFE AND WELFARE OF THE INHABITANTS OF THE AREA, <br />AND ORDERING SAID RUBBISH, LUMBER AND REFUSE FROM THE STRUCTURES TO <br />BE TORN DOWN AND REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES IN ORDER TO ABATE SUCH <br />NUISANCE was presented. <br />Councilman Bone advised that there was a person in the audience who <br />wished to make a short presentation regarding a building that has <br />burned. <br />John Rader, of the North Park Addition appeared before the Council <br />and presented a petition containing 89 signatures requesting that the <br />burned building located at the intersection of N. E. Loop 286 and <br />34th Street N. E. be removed. <br />Joe McCollum, Director of of Community Development advised that this <br />property has been declared dilapidated and the Building Hazard <br />Committee's recommendation was to order removal within 30 days <br />pending a legal opinion. <br />City Attorney Haynes told the Council the reason the property owner <br />has not removed the structure was because their Insurance Company has <br />failed to honor the claim and the building is considered evidence. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Wortham, seconded <br />by Councilman Clifford for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion <br />carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 87 -027 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS BE AMENDED BY REVISING THE <br />TRAFFIC NO- PARKING MAP ADOPTED IN PARAGRAPH (c) OF SECTION 29 -112 OF <br />SAID CODE; ESTABLISHING NO PARKING AREAS: PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT <br />TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OR ORDINANCES IN <br />CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE 1, 1987 <br />was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Fendley, seconded by <br />Councilman Kent for adoption of the Ordinance. The motion carried 7 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />
