William M. Lightfoot, Architect for the Library Project, appeared <br />before the Council stating that in each category, Danish Library Design <br />Bureau is the best and lowest bid, and recommended accepting their bid <br />in the amount of $75,623.65. Mr. Lightfoot advised that the Library <br />Project was still within budget. <br />After discussion, a motion was made by Councilman Wortham, seconded by <br />Councilman Clifford to accept the low bid of Danish Library Design <br />Bureau in the amount of $75,623.65. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Resolution No. 87 -058 authorizing and directing the Mayor, Billy J. <br />Burnett to execute on behalf of the City of Paris a contract with <br />Danish Library Design Bureau in the amount of $75,623.65 for furnishing <br />steel shelving, wood shelving, wood display shelving, card catalog, <br />study carrels, index table, book trucks and benches for the completion <br />of the Paris Public Library Improvement Project was presented. A <br />motion was made by Councilman Kent, seconded by Councilman Clifford for <br />approval of the Resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />
