Following discussion, a motion was made by Mrs. Smith, seconded by Mr. Perry, <br />to recommend approval of the zoning change. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Chairman Swaim declared the public hearing open on the petition of Sammy Short <br />for a Site Plan Amendment in a Planned Development - Shopping Center District <br />(PD -a) on Lot 5, City Block 205 located on the southwest corner of Bonham Street <br />and 19th S.W. <br />Mr. Short was not present to represent the petition and a motion was made by <br />Mrs. Smith, seconded by Mr. Perry to table the petition and continue the <br />hearing at the next meeting. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />.... Chairman Swaim declared the public hearing open on the petition of Benny Lovell <br />for a change in zoning from a Commercial District (C) to a Commercial District <br />(C) and Specific Use Permit - Auto Fuel Sales (49) on Lot 5, City Block 307 <br />located on the west side of North Main Street between DeShong Drive and Stone <br />Avenue. <br />Mr. Lovell was not present to represent the application and a motion was made <br />by Mr. Perry, seconded by Mr. Christian to table the petition and continue the <br />hearing at the next meeting. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Chairman Swaim declared the public hearing open to consider a change in zoning <br />from a General Retail District (GR) to a Commercial District (C) on Lots 10 <br />and 12, City Block 223 located on the south side of Lamar Avenue between 19th <br />S.E. and 20th S.E. <br />No one was present in the audience to speak on the matter. Mr. McCollum stated <br />that the hearing had been called by the City Council to consider Commercial <br />zoning on the two lots in order to have consistent zoning in the 1900 block of <br />Lamar Avenue. The two other lots in this block had been zoned Commercial <br />at the February meeting and the Commission had recommended approval subject <br />to the remaining lots being changed also. <br />Chairman Swaim closed the public hearing and following discussion, a motion <br />was made by Mr. Hildreth, seconded by Mr. Davidson, to recommend approval <br />of the change. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mr. Nutt joined the meeting at this point and took his seat. <br />Mr. McCollum advised the Commission that the developer's of Oak Creek, Phase <br />2, had requested approval of their final plat which was tabled at the February <br />meeting. <br />Mrs.. Smith made a motion to remove the item from the table. Mr. Hildreth <br />seconded the motion-which carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />City Engineer Tompkins presented his recommendation on the final plat of <br />Oak Creek, Phase 2, and explained the exceptions noted in his memorandum. <br />A motion was made by Mr. Nutt, seconded by Mr. Hildreth, to recommend approval <br />of the Final Plat of Oak Creek, Phase 2, subject to the exceptions listed in <br />
