The Commission voted 6 -1 to recommend 2F zoning on <br />Lot 7, City Block 255 -A and allow the two structures to be connected as <br />a duplex dwelling. <br />5. A public hearing was held to consider the petition of James W. Farris <br />for a change in zoning from A to C on an 8.62 acre tract on the east <br />side of Loop 286 S.E. between Lamar Avenue and Leigh Drive. Mr. Farris <br />said the land was inappropriately zoned because of its location across <br />from .a shopping center and adjacent to a feed processing operation. <br />He proposes to develop the tract for business use. No one appeared to <br />oppose the change. Commission voted 7 -0 to recommend approval. <br />6. A public hearing was held to consider the petition of Monte Moore for <br />a change in zoning from SF -2 to C on Lot 8, City Block 222 -B located at <br />69 27th N.E. Mr. Moore cited the existing commercial zoning on the west <br />and south side of his property as reason for the change but said he had <br />no definite plan for the property. Several area property owners voiced <br />objection to commercial or apartment use on 27th N.E. saying that any- <br />thing other than residential would disrupt the neighborhood which was <br />made up of elderly people. Commission voted 7 -0 to recommend denial of <br />the petition. <br />7. The Replat of Lots 1 and 2, City Block 218 was recommended for approval <br />subject to the exceptions listed in City Engineer's Memorandum attached <br />as Exhibit A. Vote was 7 -0. <br />8. The Replat of Lot 7, City Block 74 -C was recommended for approval subject <br />to the exceptions listed in City Engineers Memorandum attached as Exhibit <br />B.
