r <br />_4 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF PARIS <br />May 10, 1984 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session <br />Thursday, May 10, 1984, 5:15 P. M. Mayor Graham called the <br />meeting to order with the following Councilman present: <br />George Fisher, Jr., Jeff Hoog, Nathan Bell, Billy J. <br />Burnett, and Donald G. Wilson. Also present were City <br />Manager David H. Doty, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City <br />Clerk, H. C. Greene. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open to consider an <br />" application to the Community Development Block Grant Pro- <br />gram. Director of Community Development, Joe McCollum <br />appeared before the Council and review the program. County <br />Judge, Brady Fisher, appeared before the Council proposed <br />that a joint application be made for the Community Develop- <br />ment Grant between the County and the City. After Mr. <br />McCollum reviewed the proposed project in the City's Block <br />Grant, the Mayor advised that the City Council would take <br />the joint grant under advisement, and declared the public <br />hearing closed. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the peti- <br />tion of Gary Pirtle for a change in zoning from a One Family <br />Dwelling District No. 3 to a Light Industrial District on <br />Lot 7, City Block 235 -A located on the east side of 19th N. <br />W., 312 feet north of W. Henderson Street. <br />Mr. McCollum appeared before the Council and presented the <br />minutes from the Planning and Zoning Commission which was <br />held on May 7th, 1984, and attached hereto as exhibit A. <br />Mayor Graham called for proponents to appear, and Mr. Pirtle <br />appeared in his behalf. <br />Mayor Graham called for opponents to appear, and none <br />appeared and the public hearing was declared closed. A <br />motion was made by Councilman Burnett, seconded by <br />Councilman Wilson approving the change in zoning and au- <br />thorizing an Ordinance to be prepared. The motion carried 5 <br />ayes, o nays. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the peti- <br />tion of Gary McDowra for Site Plan approval in a Planned <br />Development District on Lot 5, City Block 102 -C located on <br />the west side of 17th S. E. between Lamar Avenue and <br />Margaret Street. <br />Mayor Graham called for proponents to appear and Gary <br />McDowra appeared in his behalf. <br />Mayor Graham called for opponents to appear and none ap- <br />peared and the public hearing was declared closed.
