i <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 9, 1984 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session, Thursday, <br />February 9, 1984, 5:15 P.M. Mayor Graham called the meeting to order <br />with the following Councilman present: Donald G. Wilson, George Fisher, <br />Jeff Hoog, Gene McWaters, Jr., Nathan Bell, and Albert Ware. Also <br />present were City Manager, David H. Doty, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, <br />and City Clerk, H. C. Greene. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of Goldman <br />Bruce Yarborough for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling <br />District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Commercial District (C) on Lot 1, City Block <br />237 located on the Northwest corner of W. Campbell Street and 34th N. W. <br />Director of Community Development Joe McCollum appeared before the <br />Council and introduced minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />which is made a part of these minutes as exhibit A. <br />Mayor Graham called for proponents to appear and Bruce Yarborough <br />appeared in his behalf. <br />Mayor Graham called for opponents to appear and one appeared. <br />A motion was made by Councilman McWaters, seconded by Councilman Wilson <br />approving the request for zoning. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of Ken <br />Bolyard for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling District No. 2 <br />(SF -2) to a General Retail District (GR) on Lot 2, Block A, Jubilee <br />Addition located at 1273 19th N. W. <br />Mr. McCollum advised that the Planning and Zoning Commission had <br />recommended approval of the change. <br />Mayor Graham called for proponents to appear and none appeared. <br />Mayor Graham called for opponents to appear and none appeared and the <br />public hearing was declared closed. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman Ware <br />approving the request for zoning. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Graham declared the public hearing open on the petition of the <br />Paris Jaycees for a change in zoning from a One Family Dwelling District <br />No. 2 (SF -2) to a General Retail District (GR) on Lot 1, Block A, <br />Jubilee Addition located at 1275 19th N. W. <br />Mayor Graham called for proponents to appear and none appeared. <br />Mayor Graham called for opponents to appear and none appeared. <br />A motion was made by Councilman Hoog, seconded by Councilman Fisher <br />approving the request.
