MINUTES OF THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />February 13, 1984 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met in regular session, Monday, <br />February 13, 1984 7:00 P.M. Mayor Graham called the meeting to order <br />with the following Councilman present: Donald G. Wilson, George Fisher, <br />Jeff Hoag, Nathan Bell, and Albert Ware. Also present were City Manag- <br />er, David H. Doty, City Attorney, T. K. Haynes, and City Clerk, H. C. <br />Greene. <br />Prayer was offered by Father Kennedy. <br />Mayor Graham asked if there were any corrections to the minutes of <br />previous meetings and there being none, the minutes were approved as <br />presented. <br />Mr. Barbara Fendley appeared before the Council concerning the tree <br />removal restrictions. Approximately twelve ladies from the garden clubs <br />of Paris were in attendance supporting Mrs. Fendley. After discussion, <br />Mayor Graham appointed a committee to work with Mrs. Fendley concerning <br />preparation of an Ordinance. Councilman Wilson and Councilman Ware were <br />the appointees. <br />Mayor Graham stated that he would entertain a motion to remove from the <br />table a replat of Lot 1, Block 32B. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Fisher, seconded by Councilman Ware removing the item from the table. <br />The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mr. Wayne Brown and City Engineer Tom Pine appeared before the Council <br />to discuss the replat. After discussion, a motion was made by <br />Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Ware approving the replat <br />subject to the City Engineer's requirements. The motion carried 5 ayes, <br />1 nay, Councilman Fisher voting nay. <br />Mayor Graham called for the tabulations of bids for breathing apparatus <br />for the Fire Department, and the following bids were presented: <br />W. A. Neel Associates Inc. $5,820.00 <br />Casco Industries $6,360.00 <br />Mine Safety Appliances $8,670.00 <br />A motion was made by Councilman Hoog, seconded by Councilman Wilson to <br />accept the low bid of W. A. Neel Associates, Inc. The motion carried 6 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br />Mayor Graham requesteq. the Councils consideration of Ordinances au- <br />thorized in previous meetings. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 84 -008 <br />AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE STREET, BEGINNING APPROXIMATELY 130 FEET SOUTH <br />OF THE SOUTH RIGHT -OF -WAY LINE OF WEST HOUSTON STREET AND CONTINUING <br />
